Jobs at Renys In the News		Renys the Musical was written by Art Mayers of Newcastle, Maine and performed for the first time in March of 2003 at the Waldo Theatre. Renys the Musical was performed in February of 2007 at the Lincoln Theatre in Damariscotta, Maine, and in June of 2006 at the Deertrees Theatre in Harrison, Maine. The plot of Renys the Musical is simple, the Wallmutts (Harry, Wally and Martin) try to con Dick Reny, with dreams of retirement in Florida to sell them his store. Harry Wallmutt is working his way into the good graces of the only woman on the planning board Susan Waltz. This starts a romance between Harry and Susan, who are on the opposite sides of this issue. This theme runs right along with all the tension about Wallmutts trying to take over in the town, put Reny out of business, and build a huge superstore on shoreline wetlands.
