Renys Home Office: Newcastle

We Are Now Accepting Applications for  an Accounts Payable Clerk!

We are searching for hard working, talented and reliable candidate for our Accounts Payable team in our Home Office and Distribution Center in Newcastle, Maine. 

Position Summary: Primarily responsible for processing vendor invoices and balancing purchase orders in a timely fashion.

Essential Functions:

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

  • Receives and matches invoices to purchase orders
  • Enters all invoices into accounting software
  • Reconciles monthly vendor statements and accounting system
  • Reconciling purchase orders and invoices in a timely manner
  • Handles invoice problems efficiently and professionally
  • Handles vendor communication with tact and professionalism
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Work independently but also as part of the Payables team
  • Provide support, assisting with any special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.  Candidate must display excellent communication skills, the ability to multi-task, strong working knowledge of various computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office.  Must be extremely detailed oriented and have excellent customer service.

Success Factors: Candidate must be self-motivated, professional, very reliable, have a positive attitude and be highly organized. Day to day responsibilities shift and individual must be able to assume responsibilities based on business needs.

This position is paid an hourly wage and is full time, 30+ hours per week, Monday – Friday with an hour lunch.
