Renys Passport Program
Your Maine Adventure starts here!

Renys invites you to journey across the beautiful state of Maine and visit our stores along the way! Renys 19 locations throughout Maine are found in a variety of buildings - some of which are historic - and beautiful geographic locations, offering an interesting road map for a fun Maine road trip. Each town offers its own unique feel and attractions, providing a rounded Maine experience through lake areas, inland towns, and coastal regions. Stop in each store to get your Passport stamped and claim your Renys Hall of Fame glory once you’ve completed all 19 stops!

How does it work?

Start by stopping into your first location and picking up your Passport - no forms of ID or awkward photo required! Make sure to have it stamped at the original location as your first entry in the booklet. From there, start visiting stores and getting a stamp from each. The order is up to you!

Once you reach 9 stamps, you will receive a $10 gift card and your favorite Renys candy bar as a prize! But we all know you’re not just here for the prizes - you want the GLORY! Your journey is halfway done, so don’t give up now.

Once you have visited all 19 locations and received your stamp at each, you have completed what is considered by some to be the greatest achievement a true Mainer can complete - an induction into the Renys HALL OF FAME! Along with the high honor you can now share with your friends and family, you also receive a unique tour of Renys HQ in Newcastle, ME alongside meeting a Renys family member and a surprise goody bag.

You’ll get to keep your completed Passport - proof that you are a true Mainer, if only at heart! Display it, frame it, carry it with you to show off in public … even use it at the Maine/NH border to prove your authenticity to local skeptics.

Passport Program FAQS

What are the next steps after I complete and turn in my passport?

You should receive a confirmation email that we have received your completed passport. Then you will get an email that will give you date and time options to sign up for your tour (link will be provided).

What if I sent in my completed passport weeks ago and have not heard back?

Our emails can end up in your spam folder, so please make sure to check that first. If it is not there, you can reach out to passport@renys.com.

How long until I hear back about tour dates?

You may not receive tour date information for one to three months, as we are scheduling out months in advance.

Who is on the tour with me?

There is a possibility that you could have up to twelve people on your tour with you, as we try to maximize each tour to its capacity.

What if I cannot make my appointment?

Not a problem. Please either call the office (207-563-3177) or email us at passport@renys.com at your earliest convenience to let us know about your scheduling conflict. If you are a no show/no call, we will not reach out again to reschedule and will consider your appointment forfeited.

My friend and I completed the passport together. Can we do the tour together?

Yes, of course! Just make sure to sign up with both people so we know who is attending the tour! But remember, only one of you gets a goody bag.

If I share one passport with someone, do we both get a goody bag?

Unfortunately, no. The goody bags are one per passport, not one per person.

Can I bring other people with me on my tour?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional people if you have not worked it out with the office beforehand.

Do I have to wear special clothing or footwear?

Closed toe shoes must be worn at all times. Otherwise, please wear comfortable clothing. Renys will provide you with a safety vest for the warehouse part of the tour.

Is a purchase necessary in order to take part and/or complete the passport?

No, there is no purchase necessary to take part in the passport program at any point during the process.

Can I have an additional passport stamped for someone who is not present?

Unfortunately, we are unable to stamp passports without the person requesting present. The whole part of the fun is visiting the locations!

If I have completed the passport, do I have to do the tour or can I just get the goody bag?

You do not need to attend the tour if you don't want to. We can coordinate your pick-up at your nearest Renys location, or we can ship your passport and goody bag if you are outside of Maine.

What if I don’t have an email address?

No worries! We can give you a call to schedule your tour instead! Please make sure to indicate that you need a call versus an email when you return your passport for scheduling.

Will I get my passport back after I send it in?

Yes! Passports are returned to you once you complete the office & warehouse tour.

What if my passport does not have all the new Renys locations?

The new Renys locations have insert pages that can be slipped into your passport. They are available at the new store locations and can be requested upon arrival.

Can I still finish the passport if I didn’t get a stamp in Portland before they closed?

Yes of course! Since our Portland location closed in December 2025, we will not dock you any "points" if you have already started the passport process but did not have the chance to make it to Portland before it closed.
