Wells is known as the friendliest town in Maine! With seven miles of beaches, this inviting York County summer vacation destination is also the third-oldest town in Maine. Renys has been offering all the supplies you need for summer vacation in Wells since 2004.

From its establishment in 1653, Wells developed into a farming community producing vegetables and hay, with fisheries and shipbuilding flourishing along the shore. Once the railroad arrived in the 1800s, the beaches of Wells began drawing visitors, and Wells became known as a resort destination with plentiful resorts, hotels, cottages and campgrounds near the ocean.

Wells has something for the whole family – from browsing the Antique Mile, to playing on the endless beaches, to visiting gift shops, restaurants and ice cream stands. Sandwiched between Ogunquit to the south and Kennebunk to the north along Route 1, Wells is the perfect summer spot for your Maine adventure.
